Initial Concept/Idea
Our Clients requirements are delivered and discussed in variety of ways, from a simple sketch through to detailed and elaborate power point presentation. This information is often transferred by all the popular communication routes open to us including face to face meetings whether at Hallmark or our customers place of business.
The main criteria is to collate the full spectrum of information for a clear scope of work, This enables all the significant parameters which both the customer and designer consider to be sufficient or significant to the project so that an accurate quotation can be provided.

Consultation/Design Definition
Design Proposal / Quotation
Delivery of the scope of work/quotation document to the client, which as mentioned above, will clearly define the aspects of the proposal and associated pricing. Subject to an approval and acceptance by the client the order can be placed and work commence. Throughout the whole process, Hallmark prides itself on delivering the very best levels of support and communication with the client.
On receipt of the order our design/conceptual engineer will then begin work on the project producing, schematics, Gerber Data, Bill of Materials etc.

Design Sign off
Prior to manufacture of the first prototype, a detailed review of the newly generated Schematics, Gerber Data & Bill Of Materials is conducted by the client, Once happy with the design a sign off by the customer is received stating that they are happy and a prototype can be made based on these files.
Once approved by our customer we then move in prototype manufacture, Hallmark will take all files and commence in-house PCB Manufacture, all components will be ordered and once the PCB’s are complete they will then go to our in-house assembly department for completion. All this is done on-site here at Hallmark Electronics in Newcastle-Under-Lyme, Staffordshire.

Prototypes
Testing
Close collaboration with our clients ensures the prototypes have been considered for ease of test. Dependant on the initial consultations at the design stages, it will have been agreed the levels of test required with environmental, EMC emissions, vibration, temperature and humidity as well as other industry specific standards available.
With prototypes approved we will provide all schematics and data along with PCB artwork, a full BOM as well as any other documentation and IP.
Deliverables
Management & Production
The production stage has many prerequisites vital to the on-going success of any project. Hallmark privdes ourselves in being able to deliver staffing and systems to manage these elements. These include software versions, assembly quality, system testing and component obsolescence. We can manage this entire process and product build allowing the client to use their valuable resource on core competencies and what they specialise in.
